I was the the same when I was back home, except the artificial sweetener, I used sugar.

I brought 4 large Foldgers Dark roast with me here in my suitcases and I now use pure can sugar that is locally made and a powdered creamer called cream top, that has a bit of vanilla flavoring to it. They do not have real milk here which I dearly miss, its all powdered crap. And they wonder why so many of them have brittle teeth and false teeth. :banghead3:

No sir. The only milk you find here is imported from New Zeland and it tastes salty and full of chemicals. You see this advertised "Fresh 100% cow milk" around here, sitting on regular shelves. Sorry, real milk will not keep unless kept cold.

Beef is even a precious commodity here. I have not had a real steak in 7 months, the one time I did find some beef, it was tougher then the soles of my sandals. I had to chop it up to the point of hamburger to even chew it. I MISS BEEF AND MILK!

    Percolator?

That's the chrome thing with the cord below the handle (opposite the spout) and the little glass doohickey on the lid, right? Mom fired hers up every morning...

I'm a little different. Gotta have my chocolate milk and a couple of chocolate chip cookies in the morning to get the endorphins going so I don't try to disembowel my coworkers...at least as long as I can still keep the blood sugar under control..

Growing up in Newfoundland, tin milk is the key to a good cup of tea.
Cripes, people Downhome live cradle to the grave on the schtuff.
I still drink Tetley with tin milk to this day.
Not the same compared to fresh milk, half and half or creme.
It is sweeter and hence less sugar in the mix.
I am not a coffee person.
But can be a grumpy old fart if I dont have my tea in the morning,LOL
