I've never watched it, but Alex is some TV game host sort of like on Wheel of Fortune.:scratchchin:
You could be right about the silver-grey car. Looked to me like a '49-'50 Plymouth.
Of course the 00 race Corvette being front and center I thought you meant it was a Dauphine. Considering the Vette is fibreglas it would be mostly rust free.:(

    A very small 3-lugnutted Plymouth?

I even had a deep blue Dauphine sedan in the early 60's.

Being new here, I am not sure if my "wagon" is truly a wagon. I am on my second Ford Flex. I know, it is supposed to be a "CUV", but the boxy California cruiser look and the large amount of space due to it's squareness has me in love. In addition that 3.5L twin turbo isn't too bad either.

For wants, I am looking at getting into my first retro wagon. Originally my hunt was the early "muscle" wagons. I am looking at Vista Cruisers - how could I not and then I stumbled upon this beauty while shopping[IMG]
    She is for sale: https://classiccars.com/listings/vi...enger-wagon-for-sale-in-arlington-texas-76001

The front end and the flat roof compared to the Vista is just GORGEOUS!!
I have also found some Rambler Wagons. Not sure if I am ready to venture into a true "land yacht" yet or not. The Ramblers have great styling, are very unique and possibly a bit more rare.

    So, my short list is:
Late 60's - early 70's GM Muscle Wagons or a 60's Rambler Wagon.

For a new comer to the old wagon scene, do you have any suggestions/recommendations?

The very early Ramblers or a '67 Olds Delta wagon with the Starfire option.

I accept as a modern version of station wagon. I did a comparison once for a thread here on the forum somewhere, between the Flex and a '91 Mercury Grand Marquis Country Squire. They were actually very close in most aspects, except for the following:
    - Overall height - The Flex was around 4-5" taller I believe.
    - Weight - The Flex weighed about 600 more pounds
    - Power - The Flex, even with the standard NA 3.5 V6 was much more powerful.

Overall cargo capacity was quite close.
