That is the most beautiful station wagon I have ever seen in my life. I hope it goes to a great home.

    Not quite......

While the Executive and Bonneville sedans and hardtops came on a slightly longer wheelbase than the Catalinas and Venturas, ALL the big Pontiac station wagons were on the same wheelbase. This was true regardless of the model year. The only situation where the same GM model had 2 different wagon wheelbases were the Buick and Olds intermediates from '65 to '72 - the 'flat roofs' were on a 116" wheelbase, white the Vista Cruiser (Olds) and SportWagon (Buick) were on a 121" wheelbase

The only thing I can add to this tread is that in 1966 the fullsize wagons doesn't have the Safari name.
The smaller Tempest wagon has it but Catalina and Bonneville is named only as Station Wagon in brochures.

Didn't know that - really weird! Called them 'Safaris' in '65. They were 'station wagons' in '66. Went back to calling them 'Safaris' in '67.
