Oh well. So, it isn't Christmas morning, afterall:(. "ULTRA HIGH COMPRESSION", in this case, narrows it down to a 2-bbl carbureted version: http://www.oldsmobility.com/old/enginespecs.htm
The following Wikipedia source is self-contradictory, in that neither the Starfire nor Jetstar were produced in 1967. If I recall correctly, the Jetstar series ended in 1965. So did the '67 Starfire engines all sit on shelves or what?:

    The following is also questionable:

That's heading in the right direction. I'm almost sure that that OLDsmobility page has left out the Toronado specs, because the original GM parts numbers classify 4-bbl 425s as manufactured in three different horsepower variants, obviously excluding yours from the Toronado version: http://www.t.gmpartswiki.com/getpage?pageid=89443

Now, if Joe Padavano would kindly leave his cave for a moment and help us solve this remaining mystery

The Way-Back Machine now has a new exhaust system, from the cat converter back. Shop didn't bother replacing the rear-mounted resonator, which saved me $30 or so...... wagon doesn't really need it. I'm sure some parts of the system were rusty when the wagon arrived here from Wisconsin in late 2012, but our really wet winters sure did a number to it. Pipes looked like swiss cheese, and by the time I got it to the shop, two separate pieces of the system had already broken off.

Now, I'm trying to remember whether I've EVER had a part of an exhaust system replaced before - maybe once...? But I can't remember what vehicle it was for...... LONG time ago.

Exhaust systems last a long time in So Cal. The mufflers generally blow out the baffles, etc., before things start getting rust holes in them.

The "Swiss Cheese" is only the corrosion you see from without. Not that from within. Regardless of that issue, if you're going to drive it in Winter, wouldn't you save money, in the long run, by simply having a stainless steel exhaust system mounted?

^^ Frankly, I don't expect to keep the vehicle that long that I would need to buy a new exhaust pipe/muffler. And seeing as how the non-stainless steel factory-installed unit lasted say 29+ years, I think I would be throwing money away.

I am ballparking since I don't know every single car built in the time frame, but since the late 80's/early 90's most OEM systems are made from at least 400 grade stainless steel. Usually the flanges and clamps rust out before the pipes. I wouldn't even bother putting a non-stainless system on a daily driver in Michigan. If I lived somewhere else where everything steel didn't turn to rust in two years I would just go with a regular aluminized steel exhaust.

Exactly. If I lived somewhere back east, I'm sure I would have purchased at least 2 or 3 exhaust systems for my vehicles by now. I'm guessing you guys back there have quite a lot of muffler shops per capita. Out here, particularly down in So Cal, not all that many. They're not hard to find, but there isn't one per every square mile.

I have a friend visiting from Houston, so I haven't done a bunch with the car in the past week or so. We pulled it out of the garage today and my friend just falls in love with it. So it turned into a photo shoot. Here's some of the results.

If she would kindly step out of the way, we could then see that dent. If she hides it any longer, she's likely to get a sunburn

Good looking girl, but why didn't you let her pee before you started taking pictures? Then she wouldn't have to stand cross legged with that pained look on her face.
