Well, that is what I figured, that Leland's friend took a hit (to the jaw! Damn!) and died in-hospital from a set-in infection. But yes, thank God, thank Kettering and Leland, thank Delco, that an electric self-starter could be invented.

Man, that is such a beautiful car. It's going to look great when you are finished with the upgrades.

last thing was the weld drag lite wheels with the hub caps grafted on. I like the look. It's different. 10426286_343206265855144_4158276149949747574_n.jpg

It's gorgeous! Excellent paint color as well as condition, the chrome pops in the sunlight, and you took the pic the way you're supposed to--at an angle to the Sun! You should have a poster-sized pic of this on the wall of your man cave.

This isn't what I've done but it's what I could do; I recently bought this kind of fine line painting pen.

For small "band-aid" paint touch ups (not perfect but better than looking at rust) this works beautifully. I got mine from BrushesAndMore.com for about $16 shipped: https://www.brushesandmore.com/product/fine-line-painting-pen/

^^cool!! I've been planning on getting an air brush kit. I got some motorcycles that could use a good paint job. I've painted some cars over the years, some looked good. None I would have paid a professional to do. My dream is to be like this guy at the recent redneck rumble. Both his Cars. He did paint on both. God bless the art teachers(ma mama!) I liked the orange one!!! IMG_2762.JPG

Yes, that's how I read the story about electric starters. I never heard of any vehicle before Cadillac had them.
Thanks to a weak young lady and a nice clumsy young man we can now simply push a button or turn a key. I did tear a finger nail once starting my Chevy wagon.

My 1926 Model T, a 1929 Model A, and 1933 Chevy six were easy to crank start but each always worried me. They all had an electric starter but it was more fun showing off at car events.
At least my old 1950 Harley had a kick starter.

Thanks for sharing the photo, those cars (forgive me for not recognizing the model or models they are) have pretty nice looking finishes. They remind me of the paint job on the Hallmark 60 Custom Guitar in Surf Pearl (it's more or less a sister guitar to 1960s Mosrite Ventures I models.)

Some of you may recall a couple of years ago I broke a hub on the Fury.

    http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/threads/i-broke-a-hub-on-the-fury.30284/

Well, the new brake drum was starting to look a little less "new" and I figured it was time to paint it black to match the other three on the car.

And of course I had a little help reinstalling the tire/wheel
