I have seen these steel lines you speak of & the last time I remember thinking about them one of tem was dangling. Yikes.
From your description, of that hose, I imagine it is under a slight vacuum thus requiring me to purchase a specific hose type and not just some rubber hose pulled off the shelf.
Of course unless I sell it first.
Thanks very much for the knowledge.

    Its about 1-1.5" to short.

Normally, the '60s Ford 2- and 4-barrel V8s had a cast iron spacer under the carb with a port for the PCV hose to connect to the manifold vacuum supply.

Aftermarket valve covers and most people just cut hose in center and add a piece of tubing to make fit .

It's a Ford. Bailing wire and Duct Tape will fix anything on most Fords.:bouncy:

Today i gave it back its original US-parking-lights. In Germany it's not allowed to have a turn-signal-bulb that is a parking-light-bulb at the same time, but...i don't care. A US-car without that is not the same and it looks much nicer.
Let's see if the cops share my opinion. Probably not :D

Sold everything. All my wagons and 71-76 sedans are gone. Tired of all the insurance premiums and storage costs.

When did this happen? I thought you were keeping one or two choice wagons?

At least you are planning ahead. Here we are after 23 years in Florida back in central Illinois. At least we brought warmer weather with us. At a few times we considered the Smoky Mtns.

    Hi guys,

Back after a while away from here.

New suspension components, springs, shocks, control arm bushes, front drums machined, brakes serviced so its handling a whole lot better now, however the tired engine is becoming more tired. Has developed an acceleration flat spot and has a timing chain on the way out. I've had her tuned as best possible and that will have to do for now.

After pretty good success with the aluminium trim restoring a while ago, I have taken to the wheel covers and and in the process of stripping and painting them. I'll post some pics shortly.

Aside from that, I was busy writing an article and taking pictures for the Fairlane Club of America bi monthly magazine which were doing a focus on wagons. I got a 4 page spread (including pics) as well as featured on the cover with my little ol grocery getter. Super proud wagon owner!!!:Woot::dance:

I'll start a separate thread and post the article I wrote and some of the pics. The article basically details the history of the wagon (as best as I could glean) and how she ended up here in Australia.

    Cheers

Carved a little time out of Saturday morning to replace some of the tired worn out bits with less tired, worn out ones. Replaced headlights (probably should do the high beams too), bezels and corner lamps: IMG_1009.JPG newer: IMG_1028.JPG I did turn signal switch, wiper switch, shift lever and fixed the loose shift indicator. Now I just put it in drive instead of saying out loud "park, reverse, neutral, drive.":biglaugh: IMG_1021.JPG newER: IMG_1034.JPG shifter: IMG_1033.JPG IMG_1032.JPG dome light: IMG_1014.JPG IMG_1015.JPG IMG_1016.JPG What is the proper term for these lights in between the doors? IMG_1018.JPG IMG_1019.JPG IMG_1006.JPG IMG_1030.JPG They may be minor, quick, "shade tree" repairs to anyone else, but to me it feels almost like a new car!! Thanks mr. Thorpe for contributing some of these parts!(can't remember which ones!)
