It is unusually warm 47 degrees and sunny right now...kinda weird but nice for a change. My doors shouldn't freeze shut today, woo hoo!

Happy New Years, Wagoneers!!! I was right. We just spent the evening at home with four rentals that still haven't yet been watched, got a pizza, shared champagne with our landlord/roommate (Kenneth), drank a few beers (coffee stout) and some wine, and at midnight we followed Kenneth onto the back porch where he proceeded to fire 3 times a (sawed off {clears throat}) shotgun. It took half an hour to get our hearing back from standing on the porch. Other than the gun fire it was a rather peaceful night. Very little traffic, and there has been only 5 house fires in my neighborhood in the last 2 weeks. Yes that is peaceful for here at this time of year.

P.S. Oh no she doesn't. She isn't my age... She is 11 years older than me...

Today I got up and got the plow going for the season. Haven't had enough snow at once to need it yet. It's been snowing pretty hard for awhile, temps about 15F, roads a sheet of ice, 50 mph winds which makes it feel well below zero. Took one of its tires up to Walmart (can't stand that place but they're the only ones open when I'm off work) to get it fixed cuz I ran over a nail last season. Filled up the gas can on the way home. Battery didn't want to take a charge at first, so I put the big dog charger on it for awhile to wake it up, now it works and I'm topping it off with the little charger tonight. Got it started and ran it for awhile, it's ready for its 7th season now.

This is much interesting to read! I love to hear about all the alternative ways to party in the new year! To make a promise at new year seems to be a international thing, kind of funny....

And as a tip for you who want to quit smoking : Read the book that Allen Carr wrote about it.. Easy way to stop smoking. I know it sounds ridicolous to read a book to stop smoking, but this is hypnotic!

In sweden we had a ban for a couple of years for fireworks in residental areas, cuz all the damages on hands, and property. Still it can be bought at the tobacco store on the corner if you look like youre 18yr, and most of the dealers will sell even to kids. So the ban is kind of lame, but the cracker madness is slowly getting down.. I actually saw from my window a couple of kids at 8-10 yrs play with crackers the day before eve, on the inner yard here in my apartment complex... I was thinking to myself that i used to think this was sooo funny when i was growing up so i did not open my window and talk to them. And of course, when i was standing, watching these poor african refugee children having the time of there life, one of them approched the cracker that was lit a miniute ago, to check why it didnt go off... And when my hand reached the window lock to open and yell, the cracker, of course went off... In a shy of blood and smoke..
