What are the most memorable comments you've heard about your car?

I love them old GLH's. My brothers buddy had one and drag raced his 84 Z28 with a 74 Vette 350 and was shut down. I was laughing so hard that he made me find my own ride home, so the GLH guy gave me a ride home and we blew my brother away again on the way there. HAHAHA.

 

Haha. Awesome story. People always seem to forget the power to weight factor.

At a car show a fellow looked at my 70 Plymouth Superbird and told his buddy that "they destroyed a thousand of these cars making the Dukes of Hazzard show".
Ah, that's why they are so rare.

I get, "Is it real", alot. I always touch the car and say "Yep".

 

I remember seeing only one winged car on the road in my life where there wasn't a car show near by. It was a Tor-Red car, absolutely beautiful sight.

 

Them: Wow, that thing is huge!
Me: uhhhmm... this is the mid-size model.

me: yeah, its a buick Roadmaster!
them: buick made wagons?
me: really?....your kidding right?

him: what's in that? 3.8 v6
me: no LT-1 350ci V8.
him: ahh custom job! (as he walks away)

the only tussel i really got in with the wagon was with a late 90's rx-7
on the pa turnpike....i didnt think for one second i stood a chance, i just had to hear the sound of his car to know if his liscence plate was true.
it said "ls2-rx7" and ohhh yeah it was.

 

I always get the "My parents had one just like that", but lately I have been getting some interesting ones like-

Him-Was it hard to get all of the wood off of the sides?
Me-No, it came with out wood.
Him- They made wagons without wood sides?

My favorite one was a couple of months ago. An older couple at the gas station came up to me and asked "How many kids do you have?" (I am 19)

 

I'm 18 and get the same thing. I try to use it to my advantage sometimes, when I'm out grocery shopping, I always flirt with the single mom's loading groceries in their mini-vans and SUV's and there I am with my vintage-style grocery getter.

 

"I had my first sex experience was in one of those..at a drive in"....
