I went to the beginning of this thread and reread parts of it. I realize that the positive post on my Dodge truck battery is all greenish grey and nasty............ Big time pile of fuzz growing on there.
I even bought a pair of those red and green post protector thingies. Months have passed. I forgot where those protector thingies are. And my cute little orange engine on the dash lit up. Doesn't have the words CHECK ENGINE but I'm asuming that's what it means.
It's in a neat place. Right where I place my left hand when driving. If I'd never turned I'd never seen it! A day and a few 100 miles passed and the orange lite went out.
Ya think maybe I should clean my positive post or replace it? Or am I just a dumb azzz ?:49::disagree:
Then again the orange engine may be a warning that 37 other codes are messed up. After all, it is a Dodge. :D

:yup: Not yet. The battery is still working and everything seems okay! However another thing lit up yesterday. LAMP OUT. I checked all the lights, inside and out and everything seemed to be working. Mentioned it when son came over. Apparently he or his girlfriend pushed on brake pedal as one looked at the left rear brake lite that wasn't lit!
DuuH! Still don't know how the truck knew the lite didn't work without pushing on the brake pedal. Something about a burnt bulb causes a short. Damned..... Everything I ever knew about cars is lost! New bulb, $3.25 each, and the lite went out and the dingy thing stopped dingying!
I remember when lite bulbs were 25 cents each!
But that wasn't all. Had a heck of a time finding out how to get the lamp housing off the truck. No visible screws..... Well, not to me!:naughty:
    Okay, I admit it!:rednose:

Could be. After all, it knew how to seduce me into coming into the dealership at the end of 04 to test driver it. The darn thing kept staring and winking for several months. And it really has been good to me! Only one set tires, one battery, and just one brake lite bulb in all that time. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima
Hate to mention the ocean liner tanker of fuel!

    :woohoo1:

    WoooHOooo
    I'm finally in the club!

I left the lights on in the truck ALL day!

    Actually it's GM's fault.
We have automatic headlights on the truck so I don't even think about turning them on, they just do it themselves.

It was really foggy this morning and I wasn't sure that the tail lights were on so I switched them on. :)

When I got to work I managed to slip and slide my way across the parking lot only to realize that I had left my lunch tote in the truck. :slap:

So I go back to the truck.
Yeah I got out of it twice and didn't realize the lights were on.

Hubby rescued me...he only laughed when I told
him what I did...great guy huh?

So it's my turn to buy a round.

    Dumbass.
Just cover the annoying orange thingie with a square of black tape.
Why do you have to overthink EVERYTHING?

(Gawd, I'd hate to think I was dumber than a Dodge.)

    :slap:OMG. I can't even comment about this!:mad::confused::confused:

Amazingly it's been a few years since any annoying lights has come on. The Dodge is either doing well or all the bulbs and the buzzers burned out. :rofl2:
