Well Scott, I've been humbled. Buick was the first car with Turn Signal lights. My Furd knocked it off, later: :biglaugh:

Only on the 1939 Buick Eight (Roadmaster luxury and up) :thumbs2:

Who's doing the 2-door Buick with the 7 word name? He could do a 1967 Cougar sequential turn signal system. Kind of like they did in 1939...

Well, the 93 has never run quite right since the day I got it. It seemed to fall off when getting into it on a hill or to gain speed on the highway or passing. The last week it got real bad, I am taking anything over light pressing on the throttle would cause it to fall off, like it was starving for fuel. So I changed the fuel filter, thinking it was starving for gas, that did nothing to help. So I was thinking it was the fuel pump, so I checked the pressure in it tonight and was good. So I thought, Hmmm, maybe the cat is shot and plugged up. So I jacked it up, pulled the exhaust down and left just the Y pipe and cat, fired it up and it was just as quiet as it is with the full exhaust. BINGO! So out came the big pry bar and I gutted the sumbitch. HOT DAMN, this thing runs better then my 92 does now! Now I am not sure what to do with it, I was debating pulling the motor, trans, interior and windshield and either parting the rest or selling it as a roller, but it runs too damn good to do that now. So I might just sell it complete.

I did our taxes today and found out that we are getting a very healthy amount back, so no loan now needed to buy a P71 Crown Vic And have more then enuff left over to buy a new Blue Print 355 Vortec Long Block Crate motor through Summit for the 92 if I wanted to, lol.

Motor I am gonna try to talk the wife into letting me get.

So come the 2nd week of Feb, we will be making the trip to Chicago to buy a P71 Crown Vic, just have not decided which one to get yet, now that we have more funds left and not have to make loan payments with interest.

OK...let me get this straight, Blackie. Your car now runs great but you are getting a new engine for it? And you are still going to buy a CV?

    For starters....Keep the 93. You'll regret it I'm sure,,been there done that.
And :badwords::beerchug: Rite on that things worked out $$ wise for the other car! And you'll be winning the loto in a way if you get that motor:thumbs2:

The 93 runs good now, shoot, make that superb, after gutting the cat, the 92 always ran good but its getting tired and leaks oil from just about every gasket, the biggest leak is the rear main. If I have to pull it out to replace gaskets and have it rebuilt, its getting replaced in favor of MORE POWAH!

The white 93 is gonna likely get sold complete now. I was gonna yank the motor and part it out, but now that we are getting 4x what we expected from or tax return, why bother? Its a great car and overall very solid with no rust under it, but the rear quarters are getting soft, they have already been patched up once.

So yes, we are getting a CV, the wife and I both have our hearts set on one, the 92 is not going anywhere now, but built up the way I want it, its way too solid and clean to part with for just a LT1 RMW, when I can build the 92 to stomp the ass off one now.

Tedy, I can't keep 3 cars, first I cannot see the sense in paying insurance on one that will hardly ever get driven and secondly, I cannot keep an unregistered vehicle here in this town. So one has to go and the 93 is the one getting the cut.

You bet Mike, Our return is due to be direct deposited Feb 5th. So it will not be till after then and we have had a chance to make plans with my parents to watch the 2 little ones. Possibly early on the 12th we will look into leaving out, so we make Chicago about the time business hours for a dealer start. Amtrak says its a 9 hour 9 minute trip.

Well I just checked, the only thing available is departing Eire, PA at 1:36am and arriving in Union Station Chicago at 9:45am. That is the best date we could do, because my oldest son spends that weekend at his moms and my mom does not work Fridays.

I know, ain't that little 355 tasty? I plan to match it to an Edelbrock TBI/Vortec compatible intake and run the larger 454 TB. I want to keep it as stock appearing as possible, for that element of surprise.

Well....give me as much advance notice as you can, Blackie. I want to get one of the Chicago boys to direct me and I need to make arrangements to drive over and pick you up.
    Yeah...I'm still jealous!

You will be the the the 3rd person we make arrangements with Mike. First will be my parents, then double checking with the dealership then you.

Oh, I just dropped the bombshell on the wife about the motor and she said OK, as long as she gets her Crown Vic. WOHOOOOO! Damn, do I love that woman!!!!

So this is what is going in the 92.

    385 hp/405 ft/lbs Blue Printed 355 Vortec Crate motor
    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MLL-BP3550CT1/

Trans-Dapt TBI to Carb adapter plate
    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TRD-2211/

    Trans-Dapt Swirl Spacer
    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/TRD-2533/

Then some 3.23 gears for the rear and a tranny rebuild with shift kit and 2400 stall converter. I plan to keep single exhaust but step it up to 3 inch with a high flow cat.

I want it to appear as stock under the hood as possible, no chrome or any of that junk and I will use the stock air box and duct work. So when I pop the hood, it looks like a cleaned up L05 and cleaned/painted up engine bay.

Traction is gonna be the big issue with this setup, I have 235/75/15s on it now and have no problem in flogging them with the worn out motor and 2.97 gears, imagine how nasty it will be with 200 more hp and lower gears, HOT DAMN!

Yes, I know I am spoiled Normy, I also spoil her as much as I possibly can. I wonder if she would rather have a pearl necklace instead of an Oscar?
