Well, back when the national speed limit was 55, I was driving my mother's new 1982 Dodge Aries K wagon, and got caught in a speed trap. 67 mph in a 55, with my mother and brother in the car with me. Doh!! Didn't realize I was going that fast.
I actually liked that little car. It wasn't quick, but it actually handled really well, and the performance wasn't bad for an economy car. She had it for nine years and put almost 90,000 miles on it. Then it became my niece's first car after it sat for a year. But, after being parked for so long, it was never the same. She had a few mechanical problems before a fender bender led to her replacing it with a new Escort wagon. It was in the family for ten years.

Don't feel bad, I got a similar ticket in an Omni, although I have to say, I'd gutted the cat converter, and was in fifth gear heading downhill.

Man, there sure is a lot going on in this photo. It's like a little treasure hunt.

I remember when Vegas was only one block wide on either side. You can see the desert in the background. We stayed at the Tropicana back then. I think Lola Falana was the headliner.

Way before my time, but between the first time I went to Vegas ('86) and the last time ('03), the Union Pacific trackage and yard that ran behind the Union Plaza Hotel was ripped out and replaced with a freeway, necessitating the name change to the Plaza Hotel.

For a second, I thought that wagon was a 2-door.
