Likely not. They got worked mercilessly. BTW, izzat your Grandpa's Ford in the lower right, facing away from the camera?

Sure looks similar doesn't it? The camper he had on the back had the door offset to the passenger's side and the roof vent is in the middle of the roof. Also, the truck in the photo has a step bumper. Mine has the "fancy" non-step rear bumper.
But you know Andrew, that could have been them. I am always curious if one day I will see them or one of their vehicles on here, and every time I see a truck that looks like that my heart rate increases, even if it's only for a moment. :)

That would be great. I have copies of a few official USN photos of Dad, mostly when he retired, but a few of him on duty; but the best one was not one of Dad's pics, but of him in a photo in a school library book about the Seabees, and I showed him the pic--he confirmed he was one of the men in the photo!

Oh, yeah! I honestly wish I could've gotten away with a bunch of books from that school.

The funny thing is, after they have reached a certain point of not being checked out, most schools end up giving their books away.

That'd be my luck. Oh, fun family fact, this just popped into my head, my dad's dad, Grandpa Len, was a teacher (English and Latin), football coach and librarian at my junior high, back in the Twenties! Even the apartment house across the street, where he and Grandma lived, was still there when he visited back in '77. Sadly, all was gone by the Summer and Fall of '79, making way for a new school, and now, just these last two years, that school was replaced by a new school again!

Progress can be so depressing sometimes. :(

This scene was captured from a rooftop on September 8, 1964, at Ball State Teachers College located in Muncie, IN. Freshmen Move-In Day for many students ranks as one of the most significant days in their life. We see quite a few parents, everyday family cars and only a small number of imports. The four dormitories in this image are: The Studebaker West and East, Noyer, and Woodworth complexes.

At first I was a little surprised at how few wagons are in the photo but then I remembered how little I took to school in the fall of 67.
