Wagons in vintage Street scenes

I've heard of the place. Sounds like just the kind of spot this family would have stopped at on their trip along the west coast.

The wood-bodied Pontiac station wagon is a 1948 or earlier model. The “Yellow Blue Bonnet Margarine” refers to the yellow dye pre-mixed into the Company’s regular margarine which is white so that it resembles butter. At the time many white margarines came with a yellow dye capsule that needed to be broken and stirred into it.

Yup. It's on my Bucket List. The 'mountain' in the background is definitely not a Cascade Range mountain, as it's way too close to where the pic was taken (you can see details on it).

 

Back then, maybe. Nowadays, a closer inspection is required, to make sure. If you would have genuine females doing that scene today, mass protests and violence would ensue. You would only be able to pull it off, using genderundefineds for that role

 

I don't know Andrew, it could be one of the Three Sisters peaks. They don't all keep snow on them year round. One of them is very similar to the one in the photo.

I think that's a 1952 Sears Allstate parked in the space in front of the Ford Wagon.
