Looks like Mesa Verde. Visiting there when I was a kid in the mid 60's, the park ranger conducting the tour held up his ranger hat. He said, "If you are bigger around than this hat, you can't go any further. Some passage ways are that small." We all went. My dad got stuck in one of the passages.

The Apaches must have been as small as that hat, in order to catch the previous residents of that complex. Maybe, they had a hat-sized special forces regiment which could seep through that narrow path

So, Steve McQueen hauled James Dean's pocket rocket for him. That looks like a gull wing Mercedes, on this side of the Wagoneer

Good catch! But that's most likely Steve McQueen's own Porsche. James Dean's Porsche was a different model........one that wasn't sold to the non-racing general public:

Also, I'd be willing to bet that the Steve McQueen pic was taken out at Willow Springs Raceway, out in the high desert, north of Palmdale (not too far from Edwards AFB...)

Rare to see vehicle customizing (chrome wheels) on pics of this vintage......
In spite of the '55 and '57 Fords in the pic, I would put the time frame more like the early 60's, based on the gal's attire and hairstyle.....
The black license plate with yellow lettering is a give-away as well. California plates back in '57 would have been yellow with black letters.

I would have bought the entirety, as a package deal. Nothing like an Anne Margaret type to match the hot wheels
