$5,500 for the black 80,000 mile '96 Buick wb4 isn't that bad, one of the more sought after cars in the B body wagon circle. New tires, brakes.... If it's clean, (no to little rust) and the dent isn't bad, $5,500 is a pretty good deal. Funeral cars are usually very well taken care of too. If it's in your price range you'd be nuts not to look at it. Remember the ad says OBO.

I've had 2 box GM B wagons, and 4 GM B round wagons. The interiors are a bit fragile on the newer cars, but the performance of the LT1 is a night and day comparison to the lazy carbed 307s and 305s.

No interior pics of the black one. Few pics at all really. 5500 for a car that's not perfect but can be with a little work. Makes me wonder what else may be going on that the owner feels is to insignificant to mention.

It's hard to not be a bit cynical when you start going out to see " better than new" cars that are anything but.

Understood, I know you need to be a skeptic when looking at used cars. You are looking at 16-26 year old cars, if they really are better than new, the prices would be just a "bit" higher. Nice roadmaster wagons with low miles have gone in the neighborhood of $10,000 for the right color, again $5,500 for that car with 80,000 something miles could be a good deal.... Maybe it's a rot box with shiny paint? Call the guy and ask some questions, ask for more pics before you go look at it. Don't discount a car because the seller didn't post certain pics., maybe he doesn't know better.... or the interior was completely destroyed by his dog, you'll never know if you don't ask.

If the the box OCC is more to your liking, go look at it. Some sellers are just weird, and/or hard to deal with, but if they have a car you want, deal with there oddness. Maybe the seller likes the old wagon as much as you/we do, but it time for him to move on for one reason or another. Call him again and make an appointment to look at it.

Keep us up to date with what you find out.

Did you notice the 2 for 1 deal in NC? A pair of Pontiac wagons from the South, so little rust. The one is a driver, and the other is either parts or could be brought back to life with some work, and the pair is $1,500. Seems like it may be worth a look!
