First time I've seen that. Not bad......

Kind of similar to the Ford Durango idea....

Not really a new idea but would be a big project for sure if you ever plan on doing it. One of my current rides I designed and built is a 1956 Chevy ElCamino conversion. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/some-pics-of-my-friends-1956-elcamino.399170/
It took a lot of planning, some research and about 3 years to get it the way I wanted it. A 210 series 2door Wagon is what I started with. I totally enjoy driving it and it gets a lot of attention. The best comments are when people tell me it looks factory built which was part of the look I was going for

I was just wondering that myself. And yes, the Ford Durango with a late-model Mustang drivetrain/steering/brakes/suspension would be a great restomod.

I've never seen most of those. Any of them would be a fun driver.

Most of those conversions look way better than the new factory pick up trucks like our neighbor has with a bed smaller than my Impala trunk.
Real trucks have an eight foot bed......:stirthepot: ....... Really manly trucks have a twelve foot bed.

I made sure when I designed my Custom 56 Chevy conversion that it would able to do some hauling. Gave the bedliner paint a Gray tint and added some tiedown hardware in the bed for a cargo net and straps. My license plate kind of explains it for me.

You did a tremendous job on that, RMay. Looks like the factory did it.

Being new here my reply did not go with the car I meant. I was referring to the olds wagon conversion when I asked "I wonder what this thing sold for?".
