Great thread! Who are the other people in this picture with Hank? The DJ looks familiar.

I recently bought a few old tube radios and am trying to learn about and repair them. I'm listening to Outlaw Country on Sirius satellite radio right now on one of them and while I was looking at this picture Hank came on, kinda cool I thought.

This isn't my radio but it's the same thing. Great sound.

That's a great video. The next one up after I watched it was this one, it's absolutely amazing I think. If it's too off topic for this thread please remove it.

Just kidding. I used to sport a beard and wear my hair long, myself.
If you aren't that camera shy, would you oblige us with a video of yourself. I guess, if you can do us some Rockabilly, it wouldn't be too off topic

I remember my Grandpa Fred's Gem razor, after he passed and Mom moved Grandma Ada up with us. I wish I had it, I never knew what happened to it.

Lol, the last time I shaved was back around 1982 or so. I was working construction and pouring a lot of concrete and at the end of a long hot day my beard felt like a wire brush. I have had a few haircuts in that time span but I just don't feel like myself without a full beard and long hair.

Well, this isn't Rockabilly but I hope it'll do.

Hot dang Bill, that was right nice. :urock::grpnanadance:
You sorta look and sound like most of the redneck friends we hung out with in Florida and back here in Illinois. I haven't played anything since I was a kid and have always been clean shaven, quiet, and just mingle with the crowd like a good boy.
Haven't been on here a lot lately so :Welcome:

My first 1939 Ford deluxe 4-dr had a 3-piece radio. The main box was behind the dash with the head mounted below the dash. It also had a separate speaker. I sold the car for less than that radio is worth now.

Recently bought a 60" Smart TV with more ways to watch old and new movies than I'll have years left to watch. It even tells me when the voice remote needs new batteries. It cost $320 with tax delivered to the door. My brother or I had to change channels on mom and dad's TV. That's why we had kids too. Actually they were voice remote too. "Hey brat put Dragnet on."

If I had to have it out with that band, I'd first go for that drummer
