I can remember back when I actually had a phoney tiger tail on a loop to hook over the gas cap. About the same time I had an angora muff for the inside rear view mirror and red fuzzy dice. Also when I'd get free plastic Red Crown tire valve covers and put those aluminum venitian blinds in the rear window. Don't forget the curb feelers to protect the 4" white wall tires. Back then our cars weren't fast but they were kool!
Did you ever have Debbie Straps in any of your vehicles? If so, how much pleasure did you harvest from using them, Sir?
Now, now, Sir. In a court of law, this testimony wouldn't hold water. Please save yourself sleepness nights and tell us everything.
Early German method of pumping gas from the rail tank, to distribute to individual stations: Filling up on the Autobahn:
Actually, Herr Böhmischer Korporal hated newer gas station designs (he was an artist, after all), and for the most part, never allowed them to be built. The pumps, apparently, had to be indoors for a better aesthetic, especially in cities and towns. Haha, I guess the old lady wasn't feeding the pooches!
This is very similar to how our old bridge looked coming into town without the bend. I worked part time at the Clark fuel station on left where Cola sign is here. The autobody shop was opposite at left corner. Image now trying to turn with a 52' trailer behind a long nosed Peterbuilt. Drop that Edsel wagon off at my house.
Never met Debbie Straps, but if she went to my high school, I'm pretty sure I would know who she was.......
Who wouldn't want to pump Ethyl here? What's with the blue chips, anyway. We had Green Stamps, in Michigan. I've never heard of Signal gasoline. Where is this, then? Whose great grandmother was this?
