A lot of these recent picture posts have nothing to do with old gas stations; to tell the truth, I thought I had ended up in the "Station wagons in old pictures" thread, and it made me double-take when I saw they were in this thread.
Now we know where the magic mushroom which was presented to Alice ended up. Oh well. Looks like we'll have to make the best of it I see a Morris Minor driving to the right:
The cute buzzing witch with a great voice is the one to ask. I saw her mushrooms growing in Tedy's garage
Thought I would follow a certain lead and post non related stuff to clutter a thread like another does I guess Seriously though..... OOOPS
I sure would've liked to have been old enough to show Grace Slick (and, Linda Ronstadt) my Great Society......
I don't know about Ronstadt (couldn't stand her stuff), but you certainly don't want to see what Slick looks like these days. Or do you?
Definitely not these days, not even the Eighties. It goes to show what a steady diet of heroin and popped pills will do to you. Ah, funny story time...I used to have the VHS tape of The Doors Live in Europe, and it featured Grace Slick and Paul Kantner talking about touring with the Doors. So Slick begins to talk about walking the streets of Amsterdam (IIRC, this was late '67 or early '68), and how people standing out there would offer free drugs, booze, etc., to passersby; she said they'd take a toke, maybe a sip of wine, pass on the Orange Sunshine, and take a downer for later. Then she said that Jim Morrison wouldn't pass anything up, and would do every drug offered him, on the spot!
