    Great pictures.

But want to point out that the Ford Fire Truck in post #82 above is mis-labeled. I'm not a Ford expert, lol, but that is a '53 to '56 style truck. Also not an F-7. I would say more like an F-4 or F-5.

    Nice truck though !!

Great shots of some very interesting Fire Trucks.
Recently finished a restoration on one I have owned since the 50's. It is a Mound Metalcraft Ariel ladder truck made the last year before the company officially became Tonka. I enjoyed it, my Nephews, my kids and my Grandkids also enjoyed it. I will say it held up pretty good over the years. Met a very interesting toy guy in Michigan who helped with the few parts I needed to replace. Glad I kept it all these years and enjoy the memories it holds and can continue to have.

A local limo hire company has this bad boy available for hire. It's a 1954 (I think) Seagrave.

OMG, that'd be fun for a Fourth of July drive! Pick up all the picnic goers and run around town in such fun style. BTW, RMay, that is a bang-up resto on that hook and ladder! Do you do pro restorations on those toys? Mound Metal/Tonka, Nylint, Structo, etc.?

I have some pics of steel trucks from a restaurant in Ellensburg, WA. Perhaps I should start a thread....

I can't remember what it was called many years ago, but it's the Buzz Inn now, next to the truck stop at the Flying J Plaza. They've been there for at least 30 years, and used to have an operating G-scale train that ran around the main dining area. The loco and a couple cars are still there, but who knows if the track is still in place or not.
