Good time to post these again. The Hamburger Handout was in Culver City, CA., and the 50's was it's heyday. Gone in the early 60's for development, a hotel now sits on the property. Along with Hamburger Handout, there was also a pizza joint, an ice cream / malt shop and a steak house on the same plot of land, the collection called 'Airport Village', being about 2 miles north of LAX, and practically next door to Hughes Aircraft and their runway.
Looks like Hughes Aircraft made up a huge part of their business. Interestingly, there's no "Hamburger Handout" Wiki page, even though it's pretty common nowadays for local places to have one.
