I'm still looking...just wanted to update you on my search. Several people in other states (NY, IN, WA, etc) are offering theirs--but there is still the issue of distance. One guy in Indiana has a green 1981, one lady in WA has a white 1978, a guy in NY has a brown 1979, etc. The guy who told me he was also looking for a 1978-1981 wagon, the other day told me he finally bought the green 1978 wagon from the person who originally bought it from the VA seller. He sent me photos of it! It looks just about as "mint" as the VA seller described it! I recently went to Highway One Classic Motors in Burlingame, CA, and told them I was looking for one of these, and the manager said he'd keep an eye out for one. Highway One Motors ( http://www.highwayone.com ) is a specialist dealer in classic cars, and is located in Burlingame, just south of San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Hopefully the manager there does find one somewhere! He said he'd let me know if one comes up. So I'm looking locally before I think of going far and wide. I'm also checking eBay periodically. Once I saw a plain-sided blue 1979 T&C in Florida on eBay. But other than that, these don't show up very much. What does show up, however, are lots of MotorMax 1:24 1979 T&C wagon models! There is no Internet ad for it (that I'm aware of); all I know of it is what was told to me by the guy who ended up buying the green 1978 from VA. He told me of a guy in Indiana selling a green 1981 for possibly $3000-$4000, and gave me the man's phone number to call if interested. If you want the IN seller's phone number for the green 1981, just PM me. I'm still debating whether to go ahead and call the IN seller, because of the time and distance I would need to go to pick it up. SmithAlien747
A little update on my station wagon search: Since I put in a want ad in Hemmings Motor News a month or so ago, I've had people in other states offering me their 1978-81 Chrysler Town & Country wagons, of different colors and conditions. Someone in Chico, CA, just recently has offered his brown 1978, which he says is in excellent shape. See photos below: Also, the immaculate green 1978 I told you about from VA that was sold to someone, has been sold--again--to some guy in FL. The FL guy saw my want ad in Hemmings and has told me more about the green 78. He's going to fix it up a bit more, and has told me I will have the first option to buy it. He sent me photos of it inside and out. That's the one I would still like to buy eventually; should I offer him a deposit on it? What do you recommend--waiting to buy the green 1978 when the FL guy gets it fixed up, or buy the brown 1978 in Chico, CA? SmithAlien747
