This past Saturday we attended the Wheels on the Ave benefit car show in Kennewick. The company my sister works for is the main organizer, so I do my brotherly duty and attend. It's a pretty neat setting for a show, right in the historic district of downtown.

There were a couple of other wagons at the show.

On the way home we stopped in Zillah at the Teapot Dome gas station.

Sadly, no. They're just for show.

It sure did. I remember getting gas there with my Dad when I was kid. The location along the old highway is still there and the pumps are there, but they look like they're from the 70's.

This is where I thought the thread title was derived from. Someone tape the lead guitar player's mouth shut:

Are you saying the first location still has gas pumps? Even if they are from the Seventies, grab a photo op at them!

Yes, that is correct. I have a photo somewhere of the sight, but I can't seem to find it.

Yes, it's a restored visible gas pump. It's a pretty neat little place. It now serves as the visitors information center for the town of Zillah.

It's been a long, cold, snowy winter here in central Washington, but I think things are finally about to turn. Spring seems to be on it's way, and we're ready for it.

In anticipation of the nicer weather I started decluttering the Fury. The sun visors have started to deteriorate. For some reason, the passenger side visor was the worst by far. It has been held together with binder clips to keep it from completely unraveling. So I took them down to the upholstery shop last week to get recovered.

Nathaniel mentioned that he was bored so I put him to work pulling the visors out. It's going to be his car someday, so I figered why not let him do it?

The upholsterer called me today and said they should be done by the end of the week. Then Nathaniel can re-install them and we'll be ready for some cruising.

That was a very good idea to start him on maintenance and repair; as he's still a kid, his brain will soak up all he learns.

Is the dealer building still there? That would be a neat photo as well.
