I mentioned on another thread that I am having more brake work done on the Fury.
After discovering that the rear brake on the driver side was leaking fluid and therefore causing the entire system to not work properly, and finding that the cost to redo the original stock brakes was not much cheaper than upgrading to rear discs, I pulled the trigger on the upgraded rear brake kit.

There have been a few snags, but overall it has been pretty straight forward. Looking forward to having it done and back on the road.

And it’ll be cooler doing it. Can’t wait to see the final product.

It's Vintiques weekend https://vintiques.com/ and the festivities have begun. We drove the Fury in the local cruise last night, which included stops at a couple of local restaurants. There was a raffle at Mel's Diner and the boys both got selected by the MC to draw the winning tickets. They thought that was pretty neat in of itself, but then they were given goody bags as a thank you by the organizers. No quicker way to a young boys heart than candy and dollar store toys, games and stickers.

And of course milkshakes and ice cream.

Ahhhh I happen to notice another Milkshake on the bumper step of the Fury. Would that be the picture takers, or the big young boy that’s dad?

That overall pic is very nice, I can see the Fury's front end in the background. The participation will be another brick in their cornerstone of childhood memories that will cement their lifelong love of cars.

We stopped at Bi-Mart on Saturday and noticed this nice Poncho following us in. The gentleman driving it parked a spot over from us. As soon as we got out he came over and mentioned what a nice car the Fury is. His wife loved the fact that it is a wagon and has the "way back".

His Pontiac is really nice. The interior is in perfect condition and it sounds fantastic. He is going to drive it just the way it is and enjoy it.

I really loved the original 63 plate and the vintage license plate frame from Lee Peterson, which is still in business today as a Buick/Cadillac/GMC dealership.

That is quite nice. Now that, the way it looks as it currently sits, has patina. Rust is not patina, never has been, and it should not be allowed to be used in a speculative way to make money.

Had a Pontiac like that in my youth - my second car. Mine was a year newer, a '64, but that same body style.

Those pre-65s looked light and lean. As far as I'm concerned, Pontiac could have kept the '62 going for a second consecutive year with any technical '63 updates, of course
