Coca-Cola(any bubbly soda, really)is good for washing away battery cable corrosion...I remember commercials, back in the 70's,for Honda CVCC Civics. That said, that if you ran out of gas,and all you had was a case of gin,you could use the two under the dash tools and the instructions in the owner's manual,to make your Civic run on that gin... It was one of the selling points that helped convince my dad to buy one...Is it any wonder all us car guys have an affinity for alcoholic beverages?...(y)

That's the one in our driveways. You have to chat them up a bit when they need some TLC.:drink:

Thanks! That explains why that dirty old Lincoln drove me to drinkin' !:biglaugh:

Actually, I'm a social drinker. Been drunk 3 times in almost 61 years. Mind you my wife and I make a mean Xmas fruitcake with Bacardi every year. ;)

When I used to party a lot, long long ago,I would catch flak from those who'd go thru eight beers in half an hour, for "using moderation" ? What the Hell is THAT?!?! Several times,I got to provide the answer,to the guy on his hands and knees in the front yard, puking his guts out in the bushes. "THAT'S why I was using moderation! I don't like doing THAT!" :yup:
Haven't owned a Lincoln yet...Almost bought one once.A 72 Mark IV with a Boss 429 and one of those automatic transmissions where you had to put the shifter into Overdrive for it to go into fourth gear...The wife didn't like the idea of 8 and 12 mpg though...:naughty:

A lot of my Army buddies did that. We had the most colourful snow in the country!

After seeing the old Lincolns at the boneyard today, you can tell that Planned Obsolescence was well entrenched in the Luxury cars too. The old Caddys, Rivs and Toronados looked better.
