You really got a nice, solid project. It is great to start with something that does not need a lot of body/rust repair. As for the height, it looks great like it is, but the rear might could be raised a slight amount. I like steelies and poverty caps, so for me the rims would be keepers. I would think about turning the white letters to the outside, but looks nice like it is. Also, I am a big fan of the rims being painted the same as the body color. Good luck with the peoject!

Here is a mild update. I received my wheels today. They are 18X9 Boss series 304'swheels and they look great. In the next 2 weeks or so there should be even more updates as parts arrive. This car will be very different by spring.

That's the plan. I was out bid on a complete rear with dics brakes and a Posi on Ebay. I knew I should have bid higher but no one showed an interest in the auction and there were no bids on the last day. I bid and then was outbid late. But I might be able to find some in a junkyard around here. I even have room for bigger discs so maybe that is a possibility.

    Hi there Stick,
I'm enjoying watching your progress. Neat car.
You might wish to move that trans oil cooler, it looks to be in harms way.
I was also thinking that your wife should spend some time with mine..or perhaps me.
Congrats on having a woman useful in the garage, keep an eye on her.

Actually I have had little problem with the location of the trans cooler. Now maybe when I drop another inch or two. And Ross you are not the only guy ever to request my wife's talents. I'm sure you won't be the last. Although it seems most shows we go to she ends up under some guys car that is in distress.

There's nothing like that. I have a woman who's useful in the garage, but she's my mom..... She's a mechanic at a factory, and she has spent lots of time helping me with things from air-adjustable shocks, which we had all 5 members of the familiy under the car for four hours (we're a tight-knit familiy) She's helped me with a leaky gas-line, and a ton of other little things. My sister helps me with my oil changes, she's getting real curious about workin on cars since she started driver's ed. Her twin brother is also a huge help. I was busy putzing with another project on the wagon, and he did my entire new speaker system, nicer than how I woulda done it. My dad too has always been helping me, he used to be a Chevy Mechanic, but got out of it in the late 70s/early 80's, so some of the electrical is beyond him.

The wagon has turned out to be a big family/friend effort. There's constantly people here helping me with it. I think every one of my friends has participated in the maintenence of that car in one way or another.
    But I digress........

Well I finally got some steering wheels for us and installed them today. I took off the old goofy looking plastic one and put on a leather one from a Fiero. It has the nice contoured grips and is so comfy. Yes I know It hasd the Fiero horn cap. I will be trying to fix that in the future. It's also a little dirty. I will need to take some cleaner to it.
