The 200R4. I just checked the RPO codes and the CUstom Cruiser has a 2.73 rear.

There should be a tag on the rear cover that will help confirm it. If you have the 8 inch rear you might be able to swap gears from a S10 truck rear

It's an 8.5 rear, and I actually like that ratio. I can cruise down the highway at like 85mph and around tach 2K. I was getting over 20mpg withan ill tuned 307. I am hoping the 350 swap doesn't hurt that.

No I took off the computer controled carb and distributor and put another Quadrajet and vacuum advance HEI distributor. Things should be about the same just in better tune withot that stupid computer controlled carb.

Yes it does. I haven't really had a chance to get out on the highway as the engine had a huge vacuum leak. I just did an Intake gasket set today. I'm gonna let it sit over night for it all to cure and then run it tomorrow. It must have really needed it as all the surfaces felt oily after taking off the old gasket. Now if the vacuum leak had as much of an effect on performance as I think this car should be a beast. So me keeping my foot out of it may be a problem for awhile.

Check out the Mr. Gasket Advance Curve kits for the HEI distributor. Cheap like borscht, like under $10, but better oomph (HP and Torque) and MPG. Maybe up to 15% better.

Thanx I have been thinking about that. I wanted an MSD distributor but that is mad money. BTW Norman you have the straight six right? You do know you can get headers and intakes for that engine right?

Oldsmobiles would be better. I think even you Chevy Wagon has an Olds engine in it if it's stock.

I have always loved Olds, I was sad to see GM end it. Personally I wish they would have built more of the last model Custom Cruisers like they did the Chevy Caprice and Buick Roadmaster wagons.
