I may as well confess. I made a deal with a Fox body Capri collector in Texas to sell my wagon to him. I told Stormin' privately but in case you all haven't noticed there are no wagon projects going on for me right now. I'm packing boxes with spares etc to include when the shipper comes sometime early October. I'm also going to confess that after almost two weeks of not driving it I may not miss it. So, you all don't be shopping for me. I know how you all are. Here's one, how about this one. Oh wow this one would be great for you..... I've seen you guys in action quite handily trying to spend everyone else's money. If I don't find a much older one I'll shop for a much newer one and it well could be an import. I have to dispose of at least one more car before I shop for a wagon, a much older wagon if possible. I think I want a real old car to piddle around with. May even go down to two cars for a while vice 5. Shocking I know. It is going home as it was first sold in the Dallas area and it's going back to the Dallas area to a man that will enjoy it as I have. He will love it and hug it and talk to it sweet. This is not a sad event. Oh and I will not be leaving this wonderful forum....I may be wagonless for a while unless something local pops up before October. Steve
Well decitions have to be made, at least it sounds like it's going to a owner who won't butcher the car You how ever mention...."unless something comes up local before October".....Sounds like a challenge! You know just by saying that we're gona be hunting, for you local, to spend your $$$ Funny how things change, when my last Fox was stolen and smashed, at first all I could think about was repair it, to then change my mind and look for another one because I just could'nt see myself with out a Fox wagon because of the trust I have/had in them.....look at me now. I even sold/lost interest in our Fox mustang rag top, my wife has lost interest in her Celica collection. Got screwed on my Crown wagon and like you looking foreward, the organ doner Celica for that is up for sale, moving on and not looking back. You can still hang out though, you'll just have to change your screen name to "wagonless" .....J/K man! People and times change Steve, I can understand that totally
LALALALA I'm not listening.... Here's a great looking b-body that would be perfect for you! http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/ctd/1841728932.html 1992 Chevrolet Caprice Wagon Base - $2,488.00 - $2488 (Van Nuys Dealer)
Okay, before we start submitting suggestions, give us some direction as to what "oldies" you have in mind. Just narrow it down a little. Maybe your top 10 list of possibilities. Having been one who found my Belvedere wagon here. I am looking forward to helping you spend your money on a new toy.
No it's too hard to hot rod an LT1, we know tbird is going to want to get his hands dirty! Yah sure....
OK, Steve, I'll resist the urge to go 'window wagon shopping' for you....at least for a while.............
well you will have to change the bottom of your page from; __________________ cou-gar [koo-ger] a large, tawny cat, Felis concolor, of North and South America: now greatly reduced in number and endangered in some areas. Four Eyes are Cool with pistons all in a row. to, i let some one else love it and hug it and talk to it sweet.
A Capri collector, huh? Tell him to drop a Capri console in the Cooga. He'll never sell it! I just finished modding the Flight bucket seats (took off the armrests and hardware.) Even the seat belts fit right back on the seats. It looks purrfectly at home. I'll have pics tomorrow. Thanks for 'fessing up, because these guys would be riding my butt for months if went past the delivery date.
Well, we all have our fun and our desires. I know TB was thinking about selling his wagon but I have to say that those Cougar wagons are not exactly on every street corner. Still....I look back at all the beautiful and rare cars I have had and I understand. We are, in fact, car guys at heart and we are always looking for another one we like. I hope you have fun looking around, TB, and I hope you end up with what ever you want.
ya....ok....me too..... only for a while tho Steve....you'l always be welcome here...your part of the furniture pal
I still get to drive it and enjoy it for a few more weeks. Really though I'm not in the buying mood yet. Unless something falls in my lap. But, really. Not yet.
