My 1955 Chevy wagon with 56 Buick tail lite lenses had no back up lites. In fact most cars back then didn't come with the actual lites, just the white lens, as '55 Chevys did. Unless back up lites were ordered. Back up lites didn't become law until later when more shopping centers were built and people weren't alert.
I knocked out the lttle metal plugs, much like those home lite recepticals have, and added extra sockets. Now I have two tail lites and two brake-blinkers on each side. I also added a Ford Escort third brake lite. People still don't see me!:banghead:

    I love sequential rear lites.:party6:

With the new taillights installed I "think" the Gran Sport package on the 92 Roadmaster Sedan is complete. This car came out SO WELL!

Looks good Mike. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully we'll get periodic updates of this car being enjoyed.

OK the time has come. Richard is having to sell this to make room for Tim Swink's 6spd wagon. I hate to see this one go since I BUILT the thing! Richard is asking $7500 obo for the Sedan. This car, really, needs NOTHING. Full Public Facebook album here with 450+ pics of the refurbishment last year: https://www.facebook.com/mike.masse...0213789434000747.1073742248.1553678810&type=3
Car is in Fredericksburg Texas, about an hour west of Austin. If you have any pics or would like contact info, just let me know!

That's a bummer. Hopefully, you'll find the like-minded owner the car deserves.

There’s no room in your stable? It’s a great looking car

Look who we have, showing up. So, Old Fox isn't as good a shooter, while buzzing on bar-be-cue, beer and cake icing, after all

Got a SWF personal message yesterday from someone who joined after seeing this thread. He's an old school friend of 'Roadmonster' owner Stewart Blanksvard, and was trying to get in contact with him. His search has shown that Stewart is NOT DECEASED. He simply stepped back from social media quite a bit. A Google name search shows he's semi-active on a couple of auto-related forums as of last summer, owning a Morris Minor and a Jaguar XJ-R.

Lives just north of me in Salem, too.

I'm wondering what has happened to Texas Mike. He used to share his road-trips, cars & coffee visits and auto detailings on a fairly regular basis. He hasn't been on here since July 15th of last year.

    That's good news!
Stewart is one of those all-around great guys. Roadmonster.org was a source of great motivation for me. I re-read articles over and over again enjoying that massive wealth of photos that Stewart had online. It really kept my brain going on what I wanted to do next and how I was going to do it. His comments on my blog were always cheery and helpful. I've really missed hearing from him.

A little digging just doing a Google name search shows that as of last summer at least, he owned an old Morris Minor he was restoring, as well as a newer Jaguar XJ-R, and had joined on-line forums for both. I've got his mailing address if you want it....
