I'd be willing to bet that they are.

Yeah, that’s what made me start looking at the Lark. It looks like they chopped a lark in half and put a bed on it.
The back post leans forward on the door it looks like but I haven’t found that yet in my searches of larks.

Here's the best image I could find from that angle. What do you think?

Looks like to me. We may be a year off it looks like the chrome strip dips a bit toward the rear and the truck looks level.

During the summer months we have a number of local cruise nights in the Valley. There's always a great variety of cars and trucks that make their way out into the streets. Last week we were cruising the Ave. and I noticed this wagon sitting in one of the parking lots along the route. I had to pull over and check it out.

I thought it was a FORD from the road, but when I got up close I realized it was a Mercury!

It's a 1946. It has been in the same family since new. It's current owners (whose names I have forgotten ) are husband and wife, the car coming from the wife's side of the family. Her Grandpa did a refurbishment in the 1970's, and that's the state it is in today.

It's a rare car indeed, I was very happy to see it and to spend some time visiting with the owners. Wagon folks are great.

delivering concrete saw this all by its self in a parking lot, and it had buckets and four speed. 20220915_065533[200].jpg

Appears to have been there a while. Reckon what the story is on it?

Like every other story: "Yep, gonna restore it someday, so nope, not for sale."
