Sportwagon, maybe you could get someone to enhance the picture and find out the license plate # of the wagon passing the Rolls. Once you have that, perhaps dmv would have the vin connected to it and you could check it that way. That'd be something if it was the same car.

You actually were able to get some information out of the California DMV?
    And by phone?

    Consider yourself very lucky.

No kidding I just called, and it was almost impossible to find a number I could call from Canada. Once I did it was a number related to university. She asked me for the VIN and once i told her she asked if it was a Buick I said yes and she told me it took about 2 minutes I was shocked

My Austin Mini Estate was in an episode of Unsolved Mysteries.Only seen for a couple seconds unfortunately.
A friend of mine used to supply vintage vehicles to movie companies that were filming in Massachusetts. He had my car on file and called one day and asked if it was right hand drive.I said no and he said he still might be able to use it.
A week later he calls and asks if he could use it in a film.Met him early one morning and we drove in Boston;actually Charlestown(where the USS Constitutuin is berthed).
The movie crew was there already setting up and one of them set up a fake steering column in the car(wired in)on the right and had me remove the wing. They just taped over the brackets(not easily removeable). They said the camera angle would show only the right side steering wheel.
My buddy Steve had his RHD MG-Y there as well and he even got a walk-on in the film.It was supposed to be set in Ireland and the whole thing was wrapped up (for us anyway)at 11 am.They fed us and gave me a check for $125(Steve got an additional $200 for his walk-on)which wasn't too bad for a morning's goofing around.
Took me several years to find a copy of the show.Tried going directly to the company and they needed the director's name to find the episode.Wound up getting a copy of the IMDB website from one of the fans of Unsolved Mysteries.

My 66 Rambler American Wagon tv/movie shoots this year

Did 2 days in April on AMC(TV) Pilot called Hault and Catch Fire. It was picked up and is shooting now here in Atlanta. Did one day a couple weeks ago.
In June did one night of a 2 night shoot this time on the movie Need For Speed based on the video game. My alternator went out on the way to the first night. I made the shoot but could not make it back for the second night. Should be out this spring.
AMC OWNER me has been doing background EXTRA work on movies this summer without my car. I was just on Vampire Diaries a couple of weeks ago. Will be on Single Ladies in their season 3 opener in a couple of weeks. FUN

Very cool. Keep us posted so we'll know when to look for your car on TV. A couple years ago, a friend of mine got $300 to appear with his 64 Impala in a beer commercial filmed in Maryland.
A couple other friends have had their cars used (several years ago) in movies filmed in Washington, DC that were set in the 60's.
    Here's the beer commercial.

What wagon are Dire Straits sitting in? I honestly don't yet know. But, my deranged mind has something to do tossing the issue around, today. Let's see if you come up with the answer first, to ruin my day for me:
