The husband is really upset, I told Kim to keep an eye on him in case of shock or something. I believe they have family(her mom) that they can stay with till the house has been checked out.

fannie - your first thought and actions were all about the people. That says a lot about your caring for what happens to people.

Darned garage fires are scary. Every night I go check out my garage after dinner just to make sure everything is good. Scares the heck out of me.

Those poor people, what a horrible thing to happen. Hopefully their house is okay. Keep us posted.

Your little town is disappearing on you.............

Always thinking of others, fannie and the good Samaritan. Keep up the good work but calm down and be careful. My thoughts go out to those people involved.

I say the older lady that lives in the mobile home when I went back. I stopped and hugged her, told her we were all glad to see her. She said she thought she heard someone in the lumber yard and peaked out to see what was going on and was shocked to see evrything that was happening.

Thanks for your concern but I am fine. There are a few more men out of work now. And Kim and her hubby may be held responsible for this fire...they must be just sick about all of this.

Just abit of an up date for those of you who were loosing sleep wondering.

The heasre that was burnt out during this fire was taken away for scrape this morning, I just happened to be walking by with Skipper. I Spoke to Joe(the owner), it turns out the the Home Hardware store has purchased their home and it will be demo'd :(
Along the street the buildings go Hardware store, bank(that resently closed), Joe's house and the warehouse that burnt. The warehouse was on the corner of our street. The hardware store has also purchased the bank building, I believe we are going to see a larger lumber yard at the end of our street.
Well I guess it's good to see some growth were there has been so much loss.
As for the laundry mat apartment building that burnt awhile back there hasn't been any movement there yet.

Now that you have the rest of the info you can get a good night's sleep.

    Quick Post from work

It's happened again. :49: My phone lines and internet are down at the moment, but somehow the power is still on??? There was an explosion about 4:45 this a.m. My next door nieghbour's (Bill) business, an electrical repair shop blew up and caught on fire. The shop is down the street from us but it shook the entire street. OMG here we go again, he is one of the main employers in town, probably 25-30 people. Poor Billy he's just in shock. I expect his employees are too.
I'll know more when I get back home.

No one was injured, thanks goodness. I haven't spoken to Billy yet, he's had folks dropping by since I got home, so I thought it best to leave them alone. However the shop is a total loss.

It's the lumber yard this time. It's behind the second building that burnt. They(the owners) have been working SO hard to fix the place up after the cabinet shop was lost...this has to stop before someone is enjured or worst. Most of the firefighters are young men who volunteer...my son is one of them. Propane tanks are exploding down there, it's scarey I couldn't watch it anymore. We got the elderly folks out of the two mobile homes that are very close. The firefighters are trying to save the garage that belongs to one of them.

    This is crazy!
