Oh good. I'm happy to see that SF got his Caprice; he certainly waited long enough for it. Can't wait till he comes back on and tells us about his drive back home. Bet he was in seventh heaven the whole time. Congratulations SF. Best of luck with it.
It sort of warms the heart to know that someone who wanted something so badly, trusted in the good faith of a long distance seller, had the assistance of an internet buddy who did quite a lot to help out, and in the end he got pretty much what he was hoping for. One of those things that reaffirms ones belief that good things happen to good people. Yeah, it's the Christmas spirit coming out in me in some form of prose. Scary eh? My wife just shakes her head. What will be fun as noted is hearing Silver's take on all of this when he arrives home. Hopefully the honeymoon with the car turns into a long term love. Barry
Thanks you SO much, ALL of you, for the kind words. That car is NEW! For a perfectionist like me to say that surprises me more than anybody. The car is flat out awesome! And so is Ampypants! Much, much more tomorrow on both. I'm dead tired. Went 3 days with 4 hours sleep. Slept 9 hours, finally, last night at the motel but am still tired after the last leg today. What a trip! What a CAR!! More tomorrow. And....thanks again, guys. Your comments and camaraderie are much appreciated.
LoL@Blackfoot I keep expecting to hear a news report about mysterious rubber marks all the way from Ohio to Wisconsin.
Congrats SF! I am glad to hear that you are having a safe trip and that the car is beyond what you expected! Enjoy!!
How did I miss this!?!:banghead3: What's the car? Who are the babes, you sly fox! Whatever.. they all look good on you. A long search indeed. Now how about some PICS!
I showed the only pix I have of the car on another thread, Normy. Here it is....and it's everything it looks to be in the pix. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...0361168323&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT
OK Fox...So when are you... Going to get that thing undercoated??? The frame looks great, but the sheetmetal down there(under the skirt, sorta speak) is lookin' like...well PAINT, just plain old bare paint!!! Shall I ship you a some of my boys, and have them bring up a couple gallons of OSPHO and wire brushes??? They work cheep, and you only need to feed them, on second thought feeding them is a 20 hour a day job, plus snacks. Need to keep track of them fingers...dontchakno!!! Well, on second thought, you may be better off having it done professionally, money wise anyway. Glad to hear you made it back safely and none the worse for wear. But what was up with noncommunication from the old owner??? Here we are all concerned and your livin'-it-up with the honeys!!! Ampy, must have been a BADD influence on YOU!!! You think your Tiger or somethin' ??? No, you don't need to wax it again!!! And, too much tireshine is a BAD thing!!! Take some time...and talk to us!!! Later, Bruce
Glad to see you made it home and that hot looking wagon gave you no trouble. Boy, it sure does look to be mint. How's that sound system? He said he took off the wheel lip moldings, but the pictures have them on it. Are they on or no? I'm thinking it'd look great either way.
