Finally started working on my wagon the last couple days.Well really I helped my dad work on it.I still need to pull old engine and gather a few more parts for new engine, but hopefully in the next couple of months I will get this done.Work is slow down here so that has been the biggest hold-up the funds. Today my dad fixed the hood where the scoop was welded on the body filler cracked loose and was raising up.When I ground it down it looked like it wasn't preped good. They went to metal along seem to weld it but looks like when they skimmed with body filler they just went over the paint. We ground it down laid fiberglass down the seam and skimmed it out. Best thing was I only have to BBQ today for my mom and dad for the help. Hopefully I will be updating this thread with more progress soon.Any advice is greatly appreciated if I missed any steps repairing the hood or just any suggestions in genral for my project. Thanks for looking.Sorry just looked at pics and looks like all you can see is dust it was the other side we repaired. Will post better pics with next update.Sorry!

Working on it only minutes at a time in long run ads up when $ is tite. I'm sure theres lots you can do in the way of cleaning, detail that won't cost alot but make it a million bucks:2_thumbs_up_-_anima

I'm working on making a faceplate where the radio was because I can't seem to find a bezel and mine is cut up from previous owner.I made one out of fiberglass yesterday but I didn't like it so I got a piece of plastic .080 thick to cut it out of.I think I am going to mount some gauges where the radio was.

    A little progress made

I had a couple hours today to do a little work on my wagon.Got the cowl induction hood finished up and got the top of motor disconnected. When I get a chance all I got left to unhook is exhaust, tranny and motor mounts which take me a little while as I'm doing it on the ground and I have a leg that doesn't bend but 45% so it slows me down so I try not to get discouraged with my slow progress.

Here are a few updated pictures:

If all goes as planned tomorrow I will finish taking motor out.Haven't had a chance to mess with it until today so I cut out a plate for radio bezel to delete radio and put aftermarket gauges in it's place.I am thinking of using a I-pod instead of radio anyway.Hopefully in the morning I will finish unhooking motor not much left to get it out.

Maybe this time tomorrow I will have updated pictures with motor out.
SLOWLY BUT SURELY! at this pace I'm glad I set my goal for October
