96 was the year of two of the fastest built and most options and plush American built wagons. The LT1 powered Caprice and Roadmaster's. Pics are in my garage under my user name and the 96 look the same as my 92 and 93.

Its all about memories. 10 years ago these wagons werent worth anything since the kids that rode in them werent old enough to want to reminis. Today they are old enough so interst is building in them.

As fior the kids, kids ruin things. They get wagons for the reason of either having their own cars or for whats in them. Some kids dig stereos, so they go for the car with the best beat. Rims for some reason do it for kids, no matter how much of a pile of **** the car is, wheels can make or break a car. many mopar people have asked me for example if id sell my Monaco because they want to drop the 400 motor into their Duster or Dart. Some kids get these dreams from Tv shows or hot rod magazines and just dont see truly how much time and work go into doing custom work to a car. So they start tearing down their wagon they just bought and run out of patience, money and eventually resources so they give up. Leaving their car as well as the wagon they wanted to motor or tranny from to get retaken by the elements.

see, the thing is, we are "Station Wagon" lovers here, we accept and love any make or model of them, why, because America and the world have turned their backs on them and left us with mostly ignorant SUV's and Minivans. What you call crap, many here will like and will cause nothing but hard feelings.

So please, refrain from calling any wagon crap as they are all beautiful in the eyes of a true wagon lover.

There are only very few differences between the Roadmaster and Caprice
    Front bumpers
    Grille
    Side Trim
    Vista roof
    Roof Rack
    Dash
    Seats
    Emblems

Other then that, they are the same car. I could turn my RMW into a Caprice or vise versa and only the well educated in these cars could tell the difference.

Not a damn thing. I am just trying to stop anyone from getting upset about something they like being called crap. I love all wagons, no matter the make, year, or place they are made. As any true wagon lover would. I also do not think that saying Jap Crap should be very welcomed Station Wagon Forum grammar. Never know if we have any Japanese members. I know my wife being Asian, would not find it to appealing to read. If it was no for Jap Crap, we would not have very many wagons to chose from on todays lots. Its not like GM, FORD or Dodge is breaking down our doors to offer us many. I would own a new off the lot Subaru before I would buy any wagon the big 3 offer today.

we are escaping the original idea Fox had about on this thread. A wagon is a wagon no matter if its an import or domestic make. The ideas behind Chevy is better then Dodge or Ford is better them Chrysler is long over. Thats oldschool. Just stand back and say thats a nice ride no matter who made it.

I own a Mopar and a Ford and love them both more then life itself.

I am a GM boy, looking to buy a FORD and really looking forward to it too, imagine that, lol. I have owned something from just about every company myself, except for European makes, though I did own a Peugeot and Volvo once and liked them both.
