    Yep, could have been worse.
When I told my father-in-law what happened he actually chuckled and said "well, $#!t happens"
The paint guy called me today and said it's all fixed and ready to go. He also did the final buff on the paint and said it looks even better than before. I'm anxious to see it.

Yeah. It's embarrassing to say the least. But the good news is, it's all fixed and ready to go. I got a text message from him this morning showing the repair. It's not a great photo, but you can see it looks good.

Lots of little odds and ends to tie up, but this thing is pretty dang sweet.

We couldn't find the corner interior trim pieces (didn't know they were missing until it left the upholstery shop) They happen to be the section that the sun visors attach to. So naturally the sun visors were missing as well.

I ended up finding them in a box full of old weatherstripping in our enclosed trailer.

So, those are pieces are being painted and the visors are getting recovered. They will be red.

One of our employees has some neat old cars and trucks. He sold his DD, so he's been driving the "cool" stuff this last week.
Couldn't help but park the 59 next to his 55 Chevy.

Still haven't gotten the new tires yet. Even though I tried to clean them up, the old ones look pretty janky on the car now that it's got a fresh paint and interior.

Right, you cannot get Westley's Bleche-Wite, as far as I've seen. I used some on the whitewalls of a '55 Pontiac Star Chief I was working on, and they were still just a hint of dingy, but the owner was totally floored when he saw them after I did that.

But I love how you not only parked to outdo the boss' Chebby, you dropped the mic by dropping the top!

Oh, I read it wrong, I thought you said he was the boss. I don't know why I did that. Are you the 'owner' boss, or the 'manager' boss?

No worries. I'm the owner's son-in-law. The Fairlane is his car. He's everyone's boss. ;)

Yep, there are certainly some perks.
There are days I find myself tooling down the road in a vintage automobile on "official company business" and I can't help but think "man, I love my job".

What was it Samuel Clemens wrote? "Pick a vocation you love, and you'll never work another day in your life."
