Originally named Fairmont Squire. In Mexico, where's she's from, they don't have Mercury Zephyr. Instead they call them Fairmont Elite. All the Zephyr trim and base car things like 4 eyed headlights. Now my Squire has 4 eyes, and reclining bucket seats (1984 LTD), cougar like grille, 1981 Mercury Capri console, 1985 Mustang instruments (all gauges and tachometer, and the 180 KMP speedometer). I made my own stainless steel header (aftermarket headers for an inline 6 won't fit under a fox-body hood, with A/C.) And now that she has better torque with just the header modification. I thought I'd rename it "Fairelli" with some Italian script like that 'other brand'. So I wondered if a 3d printer could mold up a couple hard plastic scripts that I could stick on the tailgate and hood.
NORMAN!!!!!!!!!!! (Sorry, gotta shout!) SO good to hear from you. Hope all is well with your family....... Instead of a 3D printer, I would think something done by a CNC machine would turn out better...... I'll bet there's somebody in Winnipeg that can do it. Doesn't have to be metal for a CNC to do it, either. Wood and plastic can be done. Don't know if you've seen this guy's You Tube channel, but he's quite talented.... has a CNC machine, used for wood, mostly. His name is Frank Howarth, and he's right here in Oregon..... https://www.youtube.com/user/urbanTrash Marshall
NORMAN........... Marshall is correct. Look around. But I have a question, will the name change make it go any faster?
I'd see about getting it cut using ultra-high pressurized water. I don't know what you call this process in English, though: Hmmm.... 4 eyes (acronym for bi-focals) usually accompanies aging. A Cougar is a phrase used for an aging woman chasing young guys and they speak a hybrid form of Spanish, down there. How about Robacuna Vieja, for starters?
As said above..........NORM!!!!!!!!!! Now down to the tecknicklecalities .......................... I remember you starting this, but......... No pics, no proof, never happened, didn't happen, can't happen, ....................
Damned shame. There used to be a couple companies that made I-6 headers specifically for the Fox platform back in the Nineties. Anyway, there are a few ways you can go, but the best-looking for the cheapest price is how it should be done.
This is all that's missing: Don't pay any attention to this guy. It seems, he's just trying to sell paint, re-built carbs and magnetos: This is the real deal:
Waterjet cutting. I think a laser would probably do a better job, but you would have to polish the sides that the laser cut through.
