Exactly. First American made 4x4. Actually Willy's made one before that but I am sure it was considered more "Truck" like

    Very nice but not mine.
Looks like they used the 64/65 2door wagon side window design. Mine has a wider C-pillar with a tri-5 style slider window and GM factory stainless trim around the windows.

Well, this week's episode was pretty good, mainly for the charity factor, but it didn't have much in the way of Rut fawking up. Even the deal with the decklid was properly resolved and wasn't his fault.

Yea it was probably the best episode and car!

That 390 3spd on the tree LOL they should of KNOWN to check that for rarity before any resto start!

What did they call that list they read from?

It reminded me of a car we got at the boneyard years ago
Buick 225 4dr H-Top 71-73(cannot remember exactly) 455 and 3 speed on the tree! That was a strange bird Really wish I had saved all the pedals and equipment out of that!

Seeing how they had 6 cars to do for the show and then another pet project for Rut for each show, that's a lot of work in 4 months.

The 'list' was a Marti Report, a very indispensable document for Ford collectors. Mopar collectors have a similar one, which is used by those who have any of those "1 of 1" or such rarest of the rare Mopar color/interior combos.

Frankly, it wasn't a very desirable Galaxie XL, IMO. Didn't have the console/bucket seats (which were OPTIONAL - used to be standard on the XL). If they had found a 428 and a 4-speed, and dropped that combo in, and maybe found some buckets with a console, they might have tripled the vehicle's value.

Admittedly, it would be very difficult to find the buckets/console on this car....

I agree, it's just that there was no context of time. As with most tv shows, they make things look much easier and less time consuming than they actually are.

They had 6 episodes for the pilot season. I haven't heard if they're going to have a 2nd season. However, we're still in contact with the producer, and can probably find out.

Somehow, I must've missed two episodes.
