So I go to Home Repo this AM, get my junk and Deb wants some of those solar garden lites, and I know witch ones she wants. At the end of the isle there is a stack, 6 in a box small ones for $9.99. I go into the isle and on the shelf the same lites are marked $5.99..? So I ask a guy to scan the price and it comes out at $7.99.

I need 1@ 7', 1@ 8', and 1@ 8.5' of new base board, I find it @ .99 a foot in the isle where you cut to length. In the center isle there is the exact base board marked at "Bundel of 10@ 10' for $36 OR .36 cents a foot".:hmmm: One bundle is cracked open and 4 pc are left so I grab anther worker and ask politely....WTF:confused:

So now I'm at the customer distress counter. They tell me the lites will cost $7.99 and I said NO, they are marked $5.99 on the shelf with the same bar code so I want the lower price.

Then the base board, they said that price is only for a bundle of 10, no singles or cut downs. Again, I said NO, I want the lower price.

So Mr Manager gets called and we go for a walk. I win the price for the lites hands down @ $5.99, so I grab 2 boxes:yup:

Now we go base boarding and he's telling me "Sorry but that's for a price of 10 in a bundle". I say :naughty:, "Then why does it say "OR" on the sign and no mention of "sold in bundles only", you clearly have sold single pieces??" So I won that price battle also, took my 3 pieces and went and hand cut then to length. Different bar code, so I had to buy from the 10' section for exactly the same stuff.

What they wanted me to pay before taxes = $31.26 and that was with only 1 box of lites.

What I ended up paying before taxes = $20.44, and that was with 2 boxes of lites.

I shop there a lot and this is not the first time I have called BS on there prices and how they advertise, you all ways have to watch when going there!

Thank you Fat Tedy. Man that brings back old memories. I used to play guitar and flat top steel guitars in another lifetime.:taz:
