Here's a blues musician, Steven Wold who's more widely known as "Seasick Steve." I like hearing these songs; some can be pretty simple which I'm not against and there's a cheap aesthetic going on too which plays into the whole thing. He's playing a a slide guitar made out of a broomstick and two Morris Minor hubcaps for the sixth song. He introduces the instrument at 25:25 and that song starts at 27:18.

We routinely ice skated to school as our town had no snow removal and it quickly turned to ice. Not having sleds, we would sit on a shovel or 40's style dog dish hub caps to go down the hill. Sometimes we sat on one and put our feet in another. Sometimes we put one on each foot and skied down the hill. Later, in high school we had an old car hood that we tied to the bumper of a friend's 54 Chevy and we would go flying down country roads with 8 or 10 of us crammed on the hood. That pretty much ended when one of the guys fell off and caught his butt cheek on a piece of sharp metal. It required 40+ stitches to close it up.

Kind of reminds me of the rail disaster at Wellington, Wa, in 1910, where some gentlemen had to walk West down the Great Northern's first Cascade Tunnel mainline to get to the hotel and spa at Index, a thousand or so feet below the snaking curves coming down Stevens Pass; when the gentlemen had arrived at the first curve directly above the hotel, the slope was just snow, so they pulled their coat tails taut between their legs and slid, on their butts, down to the hotel to call for help.

It seems his real name's Steven Leach and he's playing a character on stage who was a hobo. Ah well, they're still decent songs in that regard.
