Old aircraft engines are awesome! I saw a Merlin motor out of a P-51 Mustang on display at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. That thing was enormous! I don't think it would fit in a wagon.

That appears to be the V-1710, which is NOT a Merlin (that was the Packard/Allison V-1650). The general appearance is close, but the valve covers and intake runners are different. The Wikipedia entries for each engine have pics that you can enlarge.

    Billy had a heart attach

Our neighbour who lives across the street from us, had a heart attach last evening.
We were having supper, watching the news when our daughter busted in and told us about Billy. She had heard Sis(Billy's partner) scream and she ran over, we never heard a thing. Thank God our next door neighbour(Lloyd) was out working in his garage and also heard the scream and also ran over.
Billy had fallen face first off his lawn tractor but some how made it onto the deck where he past out. Lloyd performed CPR and brought Billy back. The paramedics arrived and took over. They said had Lloyd not been there there was a good chance Billy would not have made it.
Billy was rushed to the hospital in Truro then this morning was transfered into Halifax to the QEII and had double by pass surgery today.
Billy is about my age far to young to have a heart attach. He's a great neighbour, very generous and a fun guy to be around. We have been praying for his full recovery.

I don't know what age you are, but you're never too young to have a heart attack, as I found out at age 48 that my enlarged heart put me into Atrial Fibrillation, and with this, my body started to fill up with water, and after five weeks, I ended up in the hospital with severe edema. the few days before that, I had to go home early from work because stooping down caused me to become very dizzy and run out of air, with my heart pumping hard and out of rhythym. That could've resulted in a heart attack right there.

Good luck to your neighbor Fannie. True, heart trouble can come at any age. My brother is two years younger. I can't remember just when, but he had heart problems in his 40's.
As for me after having two different hips I had this problem. Atrial Fibrillation, and with this, my body started to fill up with water. This caused heart failure about five years ago on a New years Eve. Later I was told my heart was pumping under 25% and would never get any better. By the time I left ICU it was nearly normal. I've always thought I was normal!:rofl2:
I'd been told I'd need a pacemaker and other things. So far I'm still normal.
Live life now while you can. Tomorrow may be too late.

One of my best friends while we were in high school had a heart attack at age 17. Distance runner, baseball outfielder, very active. Didn't kill him, but he was in bad shape for many months afterward - this was in the '70s, after all.

My uncle Bob, who's well into his 80s, had a new heart valve installed last month.
He just bought another sailboat, and is trying to recruit a crew for the trip home from Naples FL to St. Marks FL.:tiphat:

I guess he had to sell his BMW motorcycle to help pay for it.

Later, he's planning a trip to the Bahamas (He's been planning this for at least 2 years).
Point is, a heart attack isn't an automatic death sentence anymore.
    At least I hope not!

That's what I have, Atrial Fibrillation. I feel normal, until I walk a short distance, bend over to pick something up, lean over the front of a car or truck, move boxes, etc. When this struck me, I damned near had a heart attack myself. Out of breath, dizzy all the time, chest thumping, and I needed hospitalization to get that excess water, some eighty pounds, out of my body (478 down to 392 pounds). I now have had the cardiac reversion and an implanted defibrillator, which has twice stopped a possible heart attack since I got it.

It turns out that Billy has a triple by pass and he has fluid around his lungs, so they are workinh toremover this fuild.

Sorry folks every now and then my laptop types what it thinks needs to be said...I'll translate...so they are working to remove this fluid.

I'm not a doctor but fluid usually starts at the feet and slowly builds up and surrounds the lungs, making breathing difficult then impossible. I had to sleep sitting in a lounge chair because I was too stubborn to see my doctor until my regular sceduled visit.
Hopefully your neighbor will take his water pills and be fine.

Actually, the fluid starts in your torso, and by the time it gets to your feet, you're already in trouble. My cardiologist explained how the fibrillation causes the body to keep the water to try to drive your BP up, and eventually enlarge your heart further, which is what happened to me. The edema is the reason why I wear compression stockings...to force 'pressure' into my legs to get the water up to my torso, and my water pills to eliminate it. I've gained two full shoe sizes from the swelling.
