I used to wear shoes on a date.
Italian shoes if she were a classy girl from the rich neighborhood across town.
Now, I'm a bit more laid back.
    I'll wear a clean T shirt.
    If I have to.

The old locomotive in the water brought back memories of the tracks down along the end of the the main street of home in Illinois above the river. Several different springs those tracks were under water and it looked odd seeing the trains going thru water probably that deep.
The RR is quite aways above the river and maybe 200' from the normal river bank. The tracks only get flooded now and then after a big northern thaw.
I also liked the VW train.

That was scary. The water didn't appear even knee deep there. Back in Illinois it was part way up the large locomotive wheels but the trains went slow.
I remember another video showing a train going thru deep snow. The big difference in a train and a car in deep water is the train is still on a track.

Hubby has been busy expanding our small garage so Fanny will have a bit more room this winter.

There used to be a smaller section here but was not really big enough to work on a car and it had started to leak.

#2 and a friend are going to redo the entire roof once hubby has it all closed in.

He did manage to get tar paper over the roof before the rain started.

    :)

Ain't never seen a Cornfield Meet on a bridge before! Oh, and as for flooded tracks: there's a danger to that in the fact that the roadbed can be compromised, allowing the track to dump the locomotive off the rails. Hence the reason why they went so slow: if the loco laid down, the boiler and firebox would come into contact with the cold water and likely cause a rupture, especially on those locos that were all-rivet construction.
