There was nothing wrong with the original thread. It wasn't lost and buried as feared. It just needed someone to post in it and bring it back to the top of the list again.

Almost:banghead3:..... got a good pic of Frick n' Frack in the Buick today. Rascal is soooo...."is that a bug, look at the bird, some one say food" he won't sit still. And Griffin, he's so friken camera shy..........

And then we went for drive and a walk along the ocean...... and I left the camera on the fence

BTW, that's alternator #3 on the work table I just swapped in the Buick today...... 4 years, 3 alternators, don't start with quality as you won't like to hear where they are made and no chop sticks were involved iether

So did you go back and get your camera? Obviously you must have to have the pictures.
One time at a very large car show I put my new digital camera on the tongue of a trailer to eat junk food. Walked off and it was a long time before I wanted to take a picture. Backtracted and there it was.
Maybe you need to carry a pocket full of bacon to get the dogs to look at you.

I remember going thru that alternator deal. Seems like it takes several to get one that lasts. Some rebuilt starters are not so good either. We've had more trouble with GM HEI distributors than anything lately.

Weather permitting we are gona do a day trip up island this Saturday. One place I want to stop is here......



The above pic is 3-4 years old, a 57 Meteor wagon witch was worth saving at the time and a 58 Ford that would be a glass doner ( the rest is trash). Owner wanted $10k back then for both..... Friends tell me they are still sitting there rotting away...........

 

Now worth $12,500 because they are older and more rare.
