sorry guys....got a little busy....mental exhaustion + physical exhaustion = bad mix anyway a quick update while my car warms up and i run out the door to work. Jen took Delaney back to the hospital yesterday and they admitted her, she has some swelling and bruising around the monitor they implanted. Jen and i think is waaaay to big to be in her....not to mention the cardio surgeons think it has no real reason to be there. but that is the result of two doctors fighting...( ill explain when i have more time). they are gonna drain the swollen area and maybe take the monitor out. (if Jen has her druthers they will leave it out). well, gotta go to work....anotha day anotha dolla! -ian
Ian, you're in my thoughts and prayers. Delanie sure doesn't need doctors fighting over her care. I hope this problem gets solved quickly. My best wishes to your family. David
My wife was talking to me about doctors who fought over her dad with his Parkinsons Disease. The winning doctor used anaesthetics on him to operate. Anaesthetics and Parkinsons don't mix. Her dad passed away, and three of her sisters wanted to take him to court and force him to lose his license. (He guaranteed that he'd live for 15 more years, with the operation.) He ignored his own training about the conflict of the anaesthetics and Parkinsons.) They decided that the doctor was too protected by the Medical lobby, and they'd never get him kicked out. They're all very senior State Nurses in their city, and they've taken other measures to control his fauckups. She'll be fine, and Mama Bear will make darn sure of it!
Things just have a way or working themselves out when it comes to babies. Doctors and nurses take extra care of them and that is all goodness. We continue to root for you guys - you are building up the stamina that all parents need for late when they ask for the car keys and have a date.
ok just got home, Delaney is doing well. they drained the area around the monitor and now all the doctors agree that she should have the monitor. so it stayed in. the doctors dont know what caused our event last month.. 1 thinks its a thick heart, while the other thinks its was the holes that are now fixed. it turns out the swelling and bruising are caused by the lovanox (the shot we gave her 2x a day) so lucky her....that stops. hopefully they arre comming home tomarrow. i cant stay there this time as i have to work and take care of our dogs.
I don't know of anyone that has gone though what you have this past year, Ian. Hang in there, indeed.
Ian, it definitely sounds like Delaney is well on her way to being totally recovered and that's a wonderful thing. I'm really happy for you and can't wait till Delaney and your wife are back home for good!
busy little bee. still need to get some picture up for ya cliff, ...and everyone else. she is laughing like the video again. starting to roll over by herself and kinda sit up. she got her first tooth last week and jenn said it feels like the next one is about to pop throught. (i am not brave enough to stick my fingers in her mouth!). she is eating well again. she loves green beans and peas. so all is well. except that now jen and i are scared sh!tless everytime we go to bed....maybe that will go away or lessen with time!
