What does everyone think about people who list wagons in both eBay and craigslist?

I think they really want to sell their vehicle.

I had a vehicle for sale a few years ago and had it listed on CL and eBay. I didn't have a buy it now on eBay, but if the buyer would have checked CL, they could have bought it for almost $1,,000 less than what they paid on eBay.

Other than forums and facebook, Craigslist is one of the few places (in the US) for an individual to sell a vehicle, and reach the most people. Plus, it's free. If a seller wants to reach the most potential buyers and try to maximize profit, then they can try ebay. However, ebay fees can offset that extra profit, especially on vehicles like our wagons that don't bring big bucks.

Does that answer your question? Or, are you asking about the kind of people that sell on Craiglist or Ebay? Whether they are honest or not? Can they be trusted? etc

I don't think about people. :coco:
Most have mental issues because no one should ever sell a station wagon. They should buy more without consulting their wives.

If no one sold station wagons, wouldn't you have to end up making your own or steal one, then? I think, it's okay for people to sell a second, third or whatever surplus wagon they may have.

Very few people keep any vehicle or wife too long. With cars, trucks, and wagons interest changes and often people get tired of putting more money into a vehicle that is no longer fun. They'd rather sell or trade for another vehicle that they can put more money into.
The internet is a great way to make things available to a large audience.

Come to think about it, many wives are like that!:rofl2:

    Now THAT'S funny, Rick!

When you're on Craig's List, you have to pick and choose. Don't bother with ads that show one pic of a dirty vehicle, and say 'EXCELLENT CONDITION!'. If they didn't take the time and effort to clean the vehicle and a good amount of pics to show in the ad, chances are they didn't take the time and effort to MAINTAIN the vehicle, either. You want to find a good, honest ad, with a reasonable price.

And I wouldn't buy any E-Bay vehicle sight unseen.

I totally don't get the point of this question. I think they should be shot on site.

Actually, I think they're fine, upstanding human beings. They're just trying to get as much exposure for their car as possible, and I'd expect them to be advertising it everywhere they can, including the local paper and penny shopper, on Hemmings, posting a for-sale flyer in the doorway of the local grocery store, put a For Sale sign in the window and park it at the end of their driveway, etc. etc. etc. Why should any seller limit himself in the number of ways his car is exposed to the buying public?

Many sellers who sell on ebay and on craigslist will say in the ebay listing that the car is for sale locally and the auction could end at any time if it does sell. Nothing wrong with that as long as they're upfront about it.

Perhaps, it's one of those mysteries we haven't a choice about, except to accept. If it was meant to be entertaining, it made me laugh, after I read the first response. Whether intentional or not, this might turn out being one of the very few unintentionally entertaining threads, on this forum.
The ones who include their clutter and/or runned-down surroundings should at least get shot with a hypodermic needle containing some sort of well-adjustment serum.
We could turn the question around, by asking what all of you people think of those who advertise everywhere else except through Craig List and e-bay?

Well, don't blind people also have a right to own Cadillacs, Sir? He's probably hoping to hook one of those manufacturers who develop self-driving cars like Tesla or Google, so that those blind car owners need not risk driving them themselves.

No, no, no. I actually meant shot on site. They are to be taken out to a vacant lot somewhere (the "site") and shot dead.
