Operation install or have side draft carbs on 66 dart 235 cu. slant

Worn( odd size to find a replace it....That’s done...rebuilt trans. Completely. Right now keeping it aspirated, replacing fuel pump, new vented cap, installing sensors on fuel lines to monitor proper pressures, carb. Rebuilt ( had no filter at the carb for 1,000 miles acceleration not responsive the way I want....), idle at a low under 550 RPM, found my engine a 68 not a 66 like I thought. Hoping to get all this done to travel more in it across a couple of states to fish. I live in Conway, SC getting another place in Rolla, Mo. Love to fish, Rolla big on trout, Tenn big on crappie, SC is alright just don’t like the gators..
But I always research before I change things. I liked my Side drafts on my VW.... even though it was 3 speed with an overdrive. Thanks again for you’re input.

 

Living in Ca. Clifford was the best, high in price but at times it’s better to have a professional complete the task, linkage,
Dialing up the engine and carbs together, also the less computer the better except at idle and monitoring fuel pressures,
and proper fuel consumption.

 

At Clifford I never liked the huge 4 carb setup.

 

I liked the two barrel, giving it a little more punch, already when I rebuilt the trans, found a mechanic that replaced the master and all four slave cylinders for a hundred bucks, good friend... course I doubled it ... don’t want to loose him as a friend.

If I-replaced the existing intake and exhaust I’d have a Y setup for open headers at shows, released by hand with cap.
Maybe install a Manuel choke to better control the idle with the AC on with cable inside.
