GEEZE, Blackfoot...in my travels through Buick Roady Wagonland...90% of the cars I SAW were tan! I kid you not.

Hey Blackfoot...I found a pristine '96 Buick Roady wagon (southern) with 109K and a ONE owner that was loaded with every concievable option that Buick had in that year. It was tan so I walked away. Different strokes and all that, my friend.

THE first thing any real B-Body owner will look at under the hood is the radiator support bolts, inner fender wells, etc, etc, etc for rust!

Inside door jambs, spare tire well, inside rear gate, inside rear tire fender wells (behind the top of the tire) and you really have to take the rear tires off to see it but you can feel if that's even possible!

Go to http://www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=21 we all know where they all rust out!

Yeah...if it's an older rig, sometimes a sharp rap on the fender will produce some flakey results.

Well, My 92 has ZERO rust. Well I take that back, a couple little blisters on the valvecovers. Same with the 86 Caprice I plan to buy, thats a SF Bay area Cali car originally. I guess that Im just alot luckier then most to have found 2 super clean cars up here in the rustbelt/snowbelt area of New York.

Im originally a G body guy and the noly place I ever had to worry about rust on them is the frame rails from dead center of the tires to the rear bumper.

Another problem is wagon's selling Florida or Cali, AZ doesn't mean they are from that area either!

A LOT of cars from the north end up in the south or west!

    Ya never know!

Yup...that's why it's ALWAYS best to run a check on ANY car you are thinking about buying. Ebay is full of cars that are IN AZ or wherever but FROM WI, ME...you get the pic.

Yeah, I was scared to buy a car locally when I bought mine, but it's pretty solid. Turns out it's never seen a Wisconsin winter, until this one. It was only used for Familiy Vacations in the summer. It was from Missouri and I'm the 3rd owner. It has surface rust by the trim and under the Di-Noc, typical but the underside is very solid. Lucked out. Ironically, the Corvette we bought was a 'california car' but was also, from Missouri when we got it!
