Ooh, the transmissions were fully non-synchronous. I always thought the first gearboxes were synchronized 2nd-4th gears in the production models.
Featured is a 1938 prototype which survived deliberate post-War prototype destruction. It was found in Lithuania and traded for a restored K.d.F. Beetle.
