    Found some more "Bug Tales"

Pic with my daughter would be 1999 @ Halloween ..... Not a good scary face on her:biglaugh:

My honey and I took the head lamps out wraped the cups in kitchen aluminum foil and I slpiced up some wiring with red lite bulbs for eyes. We made teeth out of cardboard and wraped them. Under the hood we wraped also in alum foil and although the flash of the origonal camera hide it, I had a green lite bulb in there, complete with a plastic jakolantern proped up on a cooler as the driver. It was a huge hit. We did this yearly till I sold the Bug. The last pics are at our now home, the first halloween. I layed under the oak tree with a hockey mask motionless waiting. My honey would stand on top of the steps and whisper 'no'..witch ment to young to scare.....OK ment just a little "BOO", and "YUP" ment scare the freeken crap out of them". It all was judged acording to age. The reason I'm beside the house in one pic is, well honey watching would say.... "lots of first time young ones (todlers) so I would leave before the got to the house.

Yes,,,,and,,,,,no:D Believe it or not I allways leave my thumb nails at max this lenght compaired to my fingers nails witch are alot shorter. I need them like that, I work with 4'x10' sheets of metal.... Ya just need to get you thumb nail under a sheet when it's on a pallet of 50+sheets. No thumb nail = blood, it's that simple(y)

It's the manly thing to do! Those thumb nails come in mighty handy at times. Cleanin between my toes and pickin my nose are just a few!:rofl2:
Scraping paint or wax from creavises, cutting duct and masking tape, all kinds of neat things. Pulling wood splinters and pieces of steel from body parts. A never ending use for those thumb nails. :bouncy:

Forgot, this is a VW thread. My VW thread. Thumbnails come in handy for adjusting ignition points and spark plugs too on VW's!

They looked quite different pre vs. post 1970.
The nose went from down sloping to "shark nosed", along with bigger from blinkers and taillights.

The overall shape stayed the same, but a lot of details changed year to year.
It's Northeast of Pocatello, right on the Wyoning/Idaho border.
A very beautiful part of the country.

    (y)
My thumbnails are about right for the spark plug gap.
A matchbook cover is the right thickness for the point gap. :yup:

    Anyone remember the print ads?
The agency that produced them won numerous awards for the campaign.
They were really clever, especially compared to other auto manufacturer's ads of the time.

I do like that picture add. Didn't realize the length difference was that much.
Still looks like a van to me!
I don't remember anyone calling those VW station wagons.
