Ya' know, that is one of my CL pet peaves. It gets posted as $16 instead of $16,000 so that it will still show up in search results when you have set filters to only show cars in a certain price range. Searching for a car less that $7000? This will show up in your results anyway. :banghead3:
There should be a CL rule against it.

That $16 is a trick that people use to include their cars with someone searching "$1 - $1500" on CL, kijijijijijijijiji, and other sources. Believe me, the car is not advertised for $16. So if you are typing in a range of $1 - $2000, this car will pop up, even though it decidedly is nowhere in that range. Craigslist could care less what price you list a vehicle or item for, and they do not enforce any "truth in pricing" laws, if any such exist in that format.

That's why, if I am looking for cheap cars or trucks and specify a range, I type in $42 - $2500, and that nearly eliminates the kinds of ads we are discussing.

No, you have zero chance of bringing that successfully to a court and force a sale at sixteen dollars.

Interesting car. It's wearing a Colorado front plate sequence from 1980 - 1986 or so. Wonder how long its been in Florida?

 

I have an Illinois 1994 front plate on my 55 Chevy wagon. Just because I want to.
Been stopped several times to question the original 1955 Florida rear tag with no mention of the Illinois front tag. Florida only requires the rear tag. I still don't know if the Illinois tag is legal. But it's been nearly 20 years now.

$16 is rediculous. $1600 way too low. $16,000 rediculous and way too high. Do I hear $8,000?
